Despite their long overnight and sleepless flight we gave them no chance to recover and packed them on the required Desert Safari the day they arrived. Amir our driver performed the required dare-devil dune bashing with photos and water breaks.
Then on to Camel Milk, Camel Rides, Henna, Sheesha, Dinner and Belly Dancing
Day 2 and we decided to take in some culture by going on a mosque tour at the Jumeirah mosque. Dressed up in our makeshift abbayas we listed to the guide explain the muslim customs and show the gorgeous architecture inside the mosque.
It wouldn't be Dubai if we didn't manage to get some shopping in so we hit the tourist shops for some typical arabic bits and bobs.
Later a fancy dinner on a boat cruising the creek
Then off for a mid-week break to Fujairah where we could lie by the sea sipping G&T's. Feeling adventurous we drove further up the coast to Snoopy island for a spot of snorkelling - all went well until A spotted some pesky reef sharks and we lost our nerve.
Back in Dubai we unloaded the car and headed off to Wild Wadi to enjoy the water slides. The next morning we hit the city centre souks in midday heat before retreating beaten to an airconditioned. Frtantic showering and hairdrying and we were ready for a fancy night out of dinner at the Shangri-La followed by cocktails on the top floor of the Burj al Arab.
Thanks for coming guys! Miss you already and looking forward to see you in October.
